Fractions

I was asked to do a project that involved color. Rather than focusing on color literally I decided to focus on color and its relation to society, culture, and identity.

Fractions is a series of portraits of multi-racial individuals. I met these individuals the same day I took their photos. We talked about their lives and experiences being mixed and from there we focused on an aspect of it that they wanted to portray. These are only parts of their stories.

This project eventually lead to Fractions 2.0.
